Akesa & Kevin - July 12th, 2008

Coronado, California-

The bride, Akesa, is from Samoa so this was a beautiful beach themed wedding that took place on Coronado Island in California. My favorite part about this wedding was that it was not just a marriage between a man and a woman but their two families coming together as one. The bride had a son and a daughter while the groom had two sons of his own. During the ceremony the bride and groom asked the kids to come up and they gave them all rings and vowed to be good step-parents. The most touching part was the three little boys, all close in age, with their arms wrapped around each other. There were a bunch more pictures I could've added but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum.

Ashley & Gerald - August 16th 2008

Sandgate, Vermont-

This wedding was photographed near Manchester, Vermont for one of my oldest friends, Ashley. Vermont is one the most beautiful states I've ever seen, and I've seen almost all of them. The wedding took place on a mountainside in the middle of nowhere. My GPS wouldn't even work up there. She chose that area because that is where she met her husband over 10 years ago. I tried to incorporate that small town feel in my photographs.

Heather & Eric - September 6th, 2008

Findlay, Ohio-

These are photos from my cousin Heather's wedding. She had asked my dad to shoot them but I tagged along just for fun. Plus I hadn't shot a wedding here since her sister had gotten married the previous summer. It was a great time. At first I was treating it like any other wedding I've shot. But as I was sitting there listening to them exchage vows Heather started crying when it was her turn to say, "to be your lawfully wedded wife" then it hit me that this was my little cousin at the alter getting married. I of course teared up but only for a moment, I had work to do. Plus my grandpa kept picking on me while I was trying to shoot.

I've Relocated!

I've gone back to my roots in good ol' Findlay, Ohio. The midwest is much different than San Diego but I'm adjusting pretty well. We'll see how the adjusting continues when I encounter my first winter in 7 years! I'll keep you updated.
